Invensys Process System has developed and enhanced its Upstream Optimization product Suite (UOS) to provide business focused applications in its new Integrated Asset Model Management (IAMM) offering. It consists ofa set of tools for integrated field-wide production analysis from sandface-to-surface facilities. The new design supports unidirectional data sharing and exchange with many legacy systems; DCS, PLC, SCADA and data historians. Further, by leveraging theInvensys InFusion offering, service-oriented architectures from SAP and Microsoft are integrated to allow time-sensitive process conditions and events to be factored into on-line optimization models. PRODML supports web services within our integrated asset models.

In addition, integrated data reconciliation fosters statistical detection and elimination of gross data errors or ‘drift’. On-line optimization will also determine the asset status before simulations are run. In this manner line-up changes and well work-over schedules are automatically implemented so that the model of the asset reflects the actual field configuration.

By leveraging our integrated asset models, Invensys' InFusion coupled with on-line optimization, upstream assets are now intelligently optimized, and integrated within the Enterprise.

And finally, IAMM and UOS incorporates a COM-compliant Applications Programming Interface (API) for integration with third-party tools. This API has been adapted to integrate UOS with the PRO/II process simulator for production system modeling.
