"Perfect Fit" Triconex Connectivity
TRISIM Plus fully integrates with Triconex's TriStation 1131 Developer's Workbench Version 4 to provide the ideal simulation platform meaning that all operational and engineering applications, processes, and equipment that run with Triconex control systems can be run in exactly the same way with TRISIM Plus. TRISIM Plus supports Triconex Tricon or Trident block algorithms built within Tristations. TRISIM Plus also accepts Triconex control configuration downloads (from the PT2 file) without modification.
Signal Cross-Referencing Utilities
The standard simulation models within TRISIM Plus can drive the field input and output (I/O) signals. The cross-reference (XREF) database in the TRISIM Plus environment defines the exchange of I/O data between the control blocks and the process model.
Accurate Process Simulation
TRISIM Plus allows a wide range of unit operation models as standard for testing, validation, and training purposes. In addition, simple models can be added through the use of ‘widgets’, transfer functions, physical mass and energy flow networks, or in any combination. These models can be saved as ‘templates’ for future use.
Simulation Command and Control
As TRISIM Plus is part of SIM4ME, then command and control of the simulation allows engineers absolute command of process and control simulations. The RUN/FREEZE capability permits the user to stop/pause a testing procedure at any point in time and get a detailed, comprehensive view of the entire control system performance. In addition, the STEP capability permits the engineer to run a model forward in pre-defined time steps, enabling accurate diagnosis of equipment trips and stability issues. The SPEED capability allows the engineer to decrease or increase the simulation speed relative to real-time. The SAVE/RESTORE capability allows accurate archiving of any control system image for later use in training and/or troubleshooting.
