The TRI-SEN 3410 is a specially packaged Tricon TMR controller designed to replace your TRI-SEN TS-410 with minimal expense and down time. No other system available in the turbomachinery control market can match Triconex’s features for providing a cost effective, reliable, and available control system. Most conversions can be accomplished in a minimum of turbine down time.

Upgrade to the Best

We use the world’s best turbomachinery controller, the TRI-SEN 3000, to give existing TS-410 users an affordable upgrade path. The TRI-SEN 3410 is a TRI-SEN 3000 with a specially engineered application program, interface panel, and conversion toolkit that allows a quick and easy upgrade.

Extensive Diagnostics

By using the Tricon TMR controller as the basis of the TRI-SEN 3000 turbine controller, Triconex is able to offer the most advanced features and diagnostics available for turbomachinery control applications. Extensive diagnostics on each independent leg, modular component, and functional circuit detect and report operational faults. All diagnostic information is stored in system variables and/or annunciated with TRICON module LED indicators and alarm contacts. This information can be used within the application program to modify control actions or direct maintenance procedures.

Easy Installation

Conversion from the TS-410 to the TRI-SEN 3410 is a simple process. Triconex has pre-engineered a special package intended to minimize the down time. The package consists of these main components:

  • TRI-SEN 3410 chassis
  • Interface panel containing the operator panel and interconnect kit
  • Conversion software toolkit

The existing TS-410 is removed and the interface panel is installed in the exact same space. The mounting is identical to the TS-410. The interface panel contains a new display panel with keypad to emulate the TS-410 unit. This panel also includes a special interconnect panel to connect the ribbon cables from the existing TS-410 termination panels (which remain in place) to the new TRI-SEN 3410 chassis. There are no field wires to disconnect or reconnect.

The new TRI-SEN 3410 chassis can be installed in any convenient location within 100 feet of the interface panel. Tricon I/O connector cables can be ordered in increments of 10 feet. The I/O cables from the TRI-SEN 3410 chassis are connected directly to the special interconnect panel on the replacement panel.

The configuration and tuning parameters are entered using a Windows®-based conversion toolkit. This can be accomplished during an optional FAT at the Triconex facilities, further simplifying the conversion process. That’s all there is to it: the on-site conversion can be accomplished in a minimum amount of turbine down time.
