In addition to the scheduled training classes that are held at our Burlington, Ontario facility and other IPS offices, we offer several other services to assist you in meeting the training needs of your Invensys-Avantis end-users and project team.
On-Site Formalized Training
Invensys-Avantis trainers can come to your site and use your training facilities to deliver our Invensys-Avantis Courses. This option is ideal when you have a number of individuals requiring training. You save on some of your travel costs, and ensure that the discussions and activities relate directly to your business requirements. Courses can be customized to meet the specific needs of your employees, whether they are experienced users or new to the Invensys-Avantis solution. Training can be provided to any of your employees, whether they are part of the implementation project team, technical staff, management, or end-users. As well as standard role-based end-user material for planners, system administrators, trades people, storekeepers, buyers, etc, we can provide customized job aids for each function.
On-Site Informal Training
Invensys-Avantis trainers can come to your site and use your training facilities to train individuals or small groups on specific functions within the Avantis modules and/or work one-on-one with users who require specific training. This option allows you to take advantage of the knowledge of professional Avantis trainers, reduce the downtime of individuals requiring training assistance, and focus specifically on the topics of greatest interest to your business.
Training Needs Analysis
An Invensys-Avantis Training Specialist can come to your site and conduct a Training Needs Analysis. This analysis will help you determine the best training approach to facilitate the use of the system by your end-users and maximize the effectiveness of your Avantis solution to meet your business requirements.
Custom Development of Courses or Job Aids
Invensys-Avantis Course Developers can help you develop customized end-user training materials and/or job aids to increase the impact of your internal Invensys-Avantis training efforts. We can also produce end-user quick reference guides which reflect your business processes and your use of the software.
Distance Learning
Distance or e-Learning enables an Avantis user to participate in real-time interactive instructor-led training on specific Avantis topics from their desk over the internet. We offer regularly scheduled e-Learning sessions as well as customized "on demand" topics. Sessions are usually one hour long, and focus on the use and set-up of specific functions in Avantis. The following are a few examples of topics offered as e-Learning sessions:
- Accounting Set-up and Transactions
- Using Allocations and Reservations
- Automatic Invoice Generation
- Approvals – Setup and Use
- Using Consignment Inventory
- Custom Cabinet Creation
- Condition Monitoring
- Preventive Maintenance
- Repairable Spares and Serialized Inventory
- Requests for Quotations
If you have a requirement for specific training on a particular functional area, please call us to discuss whether a distance learning solution might be the answer.
